Cycle the Arts
April 14 @ 8:30 am - 11:30 am MST
Join Scottsdale Public Art and the City of Scottsdale for our annual Cycle the Arts! This free public art tour via bicycle offers participants the chance to see multiple sculptures and other public artworks around south Scottsdale, all while getting in a nice, 10-mile bike ride.
Check in at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 14, at Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West to begin the family-friendly ride. Among highlights of the ride are Diamond Bloom by Curtis Pittman and one of the newest additions to the Scottsdale Public Art collection, the towering One-Eyed Jack by John Randall Nelson. It is anticipated that we’ll hear from some of the artists along the route.
A special aspect of this year’s ride is a stop at Tributary Wall by Kevin Berry, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary. Additionally, Dr. Gerd Wuestemann, president and CEO of Scottsdale Arts, will be joining the ride and speaking about exciting plans for renovations at Scottsdale Civic Center Mall.
The 10-mile ride should be finished before noon. Helmets are required, and remember to bring water. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Note: The south Scottsdale ride is the only route this year. There will not be a north Scottsdale ride.
This is a free event, but RSVP is required. Please RSVP online.
